join us During the America's Millennium Gala, starting
at 10:00 PM and lasting through the New Year until 1 in the
morning, this film will be viewed by the audience that will
line the Reflecting Pool at the base of the Lincoln Memorial.
A motion picture expressing
the highlights of the 20th century is being created by Steven
Spielberg.
John Williams is composing
an original score that will be conducted live with the orchestra
as the film is projected on huge outdoor screens. Inspired by
Aaron Copeland's "Lincoln Portrait." The Spielberg
film will have its world premiere simultaneously at the Lincoln
Memorial and on the worldwide telecast in the half-hour leading
up to midnight. |
