An All-American Parade, with groups from all fifty states and the U.S. territories, will take place on Constitution Avenue. Step Into 2000, a children's parade, will highlight the creativity of the next generation. The City of Washington, D.C. will hold a monumental Downtown block party featuring a diversity of local, regional, and national entertainment and culinary fare. Other institutions - the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress, the National Archive, the National Gallery of Art, and the MCI Center - will also host special programs for the occasion.
