Washington, DC -- President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will join Vice President and Mrs. Gore at the Family Re-Union 7 Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday, June 22, 1998. The Family Re-Union Conference is an annual family conference moderated by the Vice President and Mrs. Gore on policy issues of major concern to families and children. The topic of this year's conference is family-centered health care.

The conference is co-sponsored by Bill Purcell, Executive Director of the Child and Family Policy Center at Vanderbilt University, and Dr. Martha Farrell Erickson, Director of the Children, Youth & Family Consortium of the University of Minnesota.

During the Conference, the President and Mrs. Clinton will participate with the Vice President and Mrs. Gore in a national conversation on how families can be more involved in the health care process. Other participants will include families, health care providers, academics, experts in family-centered health care, and non-profit and community organizations seeking ways to involve the family more fully in the decisions that impact their health.
