Pennsylvania German Spinning
Wheel done in weathered mustard paint & typical of that used in the
late 17th and 18th
centuries to spin cotton and flax into thread a necessity for weaving
clothing for early settlers. It is fully functional.

Leather Fire Buckets were colonial fire
extinguishers, filled with water or sand. It is hand- stitched steerhide
lined with pitch to make it watertight. The motto "Pro Bono Publico" translates
"For the Public Good."

Antique sheep pull-toy would have been
used to entertain children in the 1700-1800's.
