WASHINGTON -- The White House announced today that Rosina M. Bierbaum has been named the Acting Director for the Environment Program of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).

She works on issues related to the U.S. Global Change Program, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the White House Ecosystem Initiative, endocrine disruptors, ecological monitoring, the Climate Treaty, and energy.

From 1980-1993, Bierbaum worked on environmental issues for the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment (OTA), and is the primary author of the OTA reports Changing By Degrees: Steps to Reduce Greenhouse Gases and Preparing for an Uncertain Climate. Bierbaum was a 1980 Congressional Fellow.
